We are officially here in Minneapolis now! It feels great to be home. Beijing was great…I will write a few posts about that. The flight was very good…CC slept most of the way so that made it much easier for me. We actually arrived on February 9 in Minneapolis but on Saturday the 10th Yulin drove us down to Iowa to visit with my mother and sisters. We spent a week recovering there. On the Friday night that we arrived Megan, Amie, Brian, Deb and Allie were all here at the house waiting to greet us from the flight home. It was so nice to come home and have them waiting here for us. They also brought some great pizza!! hahahahahah CC loved that. This week-end my neighbors are having a little welcome home party for CC and myself. That will be fun and I will be sure to give everyone the details.  The spring festival is officially here and I know all of my friends and family in China are having a great celebration. We are going to try to celebrate a bit here in the states as well. I will be sure to post more within the next few days. I am really busy trying to get settled in. Ok….gotta go for now…I will post more soon!

Well the last few days have been a roller coaster of emotions. So happy to go home….so sad to leave the many friends we have made here. Today we will take the train to Beijing. CC and I are both looking forward to it….as we have never been on a train before. We will spend a few days in Beijing and then off to America. I won’t be able to post for a while but will be sure to post all about our train ride and Beijing as soon as I get to America! So we sure hope our friends and family are ready for us!! hahahahhahha and we sure hope our friends and family here will miss us as much as we do them! Yulin, CC and myself are so incredibly lucky to have such great family and friends in America and China. How fortunate is that! Ok….I have to go finish packing! Minneapolis or Bust!

Well I am not going to bitch about these guys any longer!! Last night I had one more experience of unbelievable frustration. I am fed up with their rudeness and disregard for common manners. That’s it….I’m done.

yesterday I went to the Buddhist Temple with James and Thomas. I have been to this same temple 3 other times….but I still love going. And of course going with James and Thomas made it a whole new dysfunctional experience for me!! hahahahahah I am kidding about dysfunctional. james and Thomas are great! i love those guys really. They are both so smart, so funny and their accents alone make it worthwhile to hang out!! Now I have told you before they are like 21 and 22…..so these two are quite generous to hang out with the crazy old American lady!!! We had a few Kodak moments in front of the Quan Yin statue and I forced James to count the Buddhas with me and select a special buddha for himself….we purchased the card that explained our personal buddha….but it was all in Chinese??? I purchased two statues to take home….Quan Yin and the Money God….James tried to haggle for a statue of chairman Mao…but the woman wouldn’t budge…..we were great tourists! Tomorrow they will both come here to Yulin’s parents house for dinner. This will be our last outing. Dang…I will miss those guys. I hope they will come to the states one day….and of course now Yulin and I have a great reason to go to England.

Wow the spa was fantastic!! My friend Grace (she is Chinese and will be travelling to America in May) took me to her spa and treated me to a complete head to toe pampering. Wow! now this place was fantastic. We walked in and they greeted us with tea and candies. They took us to our own private room and asked us what services we were there for….then we went and sat in the steam sauna for about 20 minutes….relaxed and breathed in the steam. Then I was treated to such a fantastic massage…..only a little pain this time!!! hahahahhaha What was so different about this massage is that when they say head to toe they mean head to toe!! Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes…..and breasts and tummy and ass!!!! ahahahhhahahh all of it! But man did it feel great. The girl kept saying how healthy and muscular I am!! hahahaah I LOVE this woman….not only is she massaging my bits and pieces but she is complimenting me at the same time!! hahahahahah Then she massaged my head…..AMAZING…they use this comb thing….I don’t know what it is but man it was incredible. The facial alone took 45 minutes…..so great! When we were finished they had us relax on the sofa with a bit of tea and soup! Oh how I will miss these pamper sessions!
